Edit: After living in the building for a year, I still love it here just as much as I did on day 1. Michael, the best concierge ever, has become an amazing friend and the AVA Fort Greene team and residents are lucky to have him. If I ever have any issues, he is quick to find a solution and help me in any way possible. He is knowledgeable and an amazing asset to the building.
Before Michael even knew who I was as a new resident, he was always very friendly and approachable. Anytime I needed help with anything, I never felt any hesitation asking him. He never seemed annoyed or inconvenienced if I asked for help even if he happened to be in the middle of something.
Michael knows everyones name and goes out of his way to make sure everyone feels welcomed. He knows of everything fun happening around the neighborhood and will make sure to tell me to go check something out if he knows Ill like it. Ive observed Michael interacting with other residents as well and he makes everyone feel important. My husband and I love Michael and he was a big reason for us to renew our lease earlier this year.
I moved into Ava Fort Greene in 2021. Everything was amazing, from the leasing process to moving in. During the move in process, Carlos was an immense help with showing me how to access the loading dock, etc. and made the move in process seamless.

The Consierge at Ava Fort Greene are the best in NYC!!! Gladys, Carlos, Mike and the new guy are very professional and hospitable. I dont have to worry about my packages going missing, or the lobby being overwhelmed. They really stay on top of things which puts my mind at ease. Honestly, their warm welcomes make me not want to move.

I will soon begin my fifth year of leasing at the AVA Fort Greene. The apartments, amenities (newly renovated!) and location are all terrific, but what really sets the AVA Fort Greene apart are the incredible people who work here. I recently moved apartments within the building, and Chad and Janelle were exceptionally helpful in answering my questions and ensuring that everything went smoothly. Whenever I return home, it is so great to see the front desk team (Carlos, Fatmire, Gladys, Gustavo, Michael), many of whom I have known for a long time and who go out of their way to be helpful even during the busiest times. The maintenance team is also exceptional: I have not experienced such prompt and professional responses to maintenance anywhere else. Burton, Christian, and Gabriel recently assisted me with some maintenance items, and I've been so impressed with their follow-up and thoroughness. In short: thanks, AVA Fort Greene team!
