Lived here over a year and only just had my first maintenance issue with my washer. Hector & Shakeem came through to take a look and were super friendly and able to identify the issue in no time. As far as leasing and maintenance/service teams go its been great here so far

Staff are extremely helpful. I needed a bit of paint to touch up some of the walls in
my unit and I wasn't sure who to ask about what shade of white to use to match the rest of the apartment. Ran into one of the staff members, Hector, who was working on some maintenance in the lobby. When I asked him if he knew what paint I should use he told me to give him 20 minutes and he would bring me what I needed. Sure enough, 20 minutes later he stopped by my apartment to drop off some paint, a brush, and even some stain remover in case I got any on my clothes. Thanks Hector!

I love living at Avalon. The location is excellent and the staff are amazing. I recently had a maintenance request and within minutes Hector was at my apartment. He fixed the issue within seconds. He and everyone else I interact with are always very courteous, professional and go out of their way to get things done!

If we were only giving a review of the service provided by the staff in the leasing office, the concierge, and maintenance teams, it would easily be five stars. They are all extremely helpful, kind, and made living there/the moving process easy and enjoyable. Luna and Rhett in the leasing office have been absolutely outstanding as we navigated transferring from the north to the south tower.
On the other hand, the management team is pretty awful, and rarely fixes problems with the building in a timely manner when they arise. For the first eight months we lived there, two elevators were out of service and caused lines out into the lobby at peak hours. When they gave us our renewal offer, they had the nerve to raise our rent significantly despite the many inconveniences we faced. So to say they take client satisfaction into their pricing is a blatant lie. On top of elevator issues, one or both of the garage doors are frequently broken and left open, allowing anyone to stroll into it if they wanted to.

I live at Avalon South building for over 1 year, and I would say this is the most positive living experience I have ever had. The staffs are very kind and friendly. They would open the elevator/door for you every time they see you coming, and also help you lift heavy packages to your apartment. The building is absolutely quiet at night. And they will return most of the deposit if the apartment is maintained well.

Have lived here for several years now and overall been very happy with the building - the front desk and maintenance staff make all the difference. Carlos in maintenance has gone above and beyond for multiple emergency maintenance requests, fixing and maintaining our washer/dryer and fridge. Most recently he responded to a request for help with our fridge within the hour, and cleaned out the fan to make it work good as new again. Without being asked, he checked on and cleaned out our dryer filter, as well. Hes a very friendly and kind person and we appreciated his help.

Ernie and Brian have helped me a # of times recently. We had a flood from a leaking air conditioner a few weeks back. On a late Sunday night, after he left work, Ernie came on his time to explain the process. He facilitated the repairs and reassured me all along.

It is now 10/13/2021 from Stephen Marcus, still an Avalon resident here and on Long Island for nearly 11 years total, 7 here, 201 50th Ave Apt 11A, in LIC NY writing another review. About 2 1/2 years ago this fall my 300+ residential apartment building 20 year old was poorly maintained and a new maintenance manager, James ? was brought in to oversee, help implement, change thinking of existing corporate thinking and recommend and request for many positive changes he saw necessary. Im pleased to rate him 5 stars for his exemplary job performance since his arrival.
James or Sir James as I call him has done an outstanding job in a short period of time of improving our community. There are issues here that need fixing and prompt attention too as well, but I believe James will over the fair amount of time, will continue directly impacting more positive changes here. Please Avalon keep James here and dont let a competitor poach him.

Have lived here for almost a year and it has been a wonderful experience so far. Management is friendly and maintenance has been prompt with any issues. When I first moved in my microwave wasn't working- German exchanged it right away. When my AC had issues Aaron came by and fixed it and also cleaned out the entire filter. Have been very happy here.
