Would rate this location 5 stars, however apartments do not come with screens on windows/sliding glass doors. In the spring/summer, there were times I would appreciate some fresh air without inviting tons of bugs into my unit. It is impossible to place screens on the windows and still be able to open them by design. Otherwise great management that is responsive to tenant needs.

We love living at Venture. The apartments are gorgeous, with huge windows and beautiful kitchens, flooring, and appliances. We love the extra deep closets and all the thoughtful touches that make it feel more like a condo than an apartment. There is a beautiful penthouse at the top for residents with a kitchen, three TVs, fireplace, and beautiful outdoor seating with views of the lake and capitol. We appreciate the location, close to Hilldale with all the awesome restaurants and shopping. Management, including building manager, is excellent and respond to maintenance issues right away. We highly recommended Venture!

I have lived here for 6 months, and it has been a great place to live. Definitely on the pricey side but you get your money's worth. Here is my perspective on a few key topics.
Community
This is the first apartment I have ever lived in where I actually have had a conversation with my neighbors. There are events held in the penthouse, such as trivia, that promote getting to know each other. There is also a free espresso machine, and there was even a gift wrapping station set up around the holidays. If you are looking to build some relationships with your neighbors, you will definitely have the opportunity.
Dog Friendly
I have a large dog (boxer/hound mix) and it can be difficult to find apartments that accommodates large dogs. Venture has a dog washing station, poo clean up stations outside, and lots of other doggie friends for my pup.
Management/Maintenance
Management is available in the building during week days, and has always been very friendly and helpful. Maintenance requests have been done promptly. We were able to mount our TV as well.
Building Vibes
Venture has a good mix of med students, some young families, and a few retirement age folks. The noise-proofing in the apartment is excellent. Though you can sometimes hear people in the hall, it is very quiet. I would hardly believe I had neighbors.
Parking
There is underground parking - for a price. I chose not to pay for it and can typically find parking on the street right in front of the apartment without issue. Parking is a bit more difficult during the summer months (I think because people who pay for parking chose not to use it on nice days), sometimes I will have to walk, but I have never had to park more than a block away. There is also an underground parking area for visitors, which is really nice.
Beautiful Building inside and out. My favorite is the rooftop patio.
Beautiful apartment homes. Well cared for and clean. The staff is very nice and responsive to tenant needs. I would highly recommend Venture.

-elevators break once every other month
-parking is tight in the garage but cheaper than other buildings
-no pool
Overall comfy place to live with spacious units for the cost, unlike the 500sqft new construction downtown asking the same $
