When to Search

The summer is a good time to look for an apartment in Tulsa. May is a good time to start your search, and you shouldn't try looking for an apartment any later than the end of July if you want good results. Remember that the closer it gets towards fall and winter, the fewer options you're likely to have.

Staying in the Know

Don't delay getting your applications into apartments that you're interested in. All other things being equal, some landlords will deal with people on what amounts to a first come first served basis. If you're interested in an apartment, be prepared to try and pull the trigger on it immediately, otherwise you risk missing out.

Each month, using over 1 million listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
