This south-eastern Tennessee city is home to more than 171,000 people. Chattanooga is home to some spectacular views, as there are numerous mountains, ridges and lakes within a short distance of the town. The views are so good here, that it has managed to acquire the nickname of the "Scenic City."

There are a handful of Universities and Colleges in Chattanooga, two with quite large student populations. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is a public school that is part of the larger U of T system, and has more than 10,000 students enrolled. Chattanooga State is a community college that offers two-year programs, and which also has around 11,000 students enrolled.

When to Search

Chattanooga apartments are relatively easy to come by in the grand scheme of things. First of all, most times of year will be fine to commence an apartment hunt. A Visit to the Chattanooga Choo Choo is a fantastic glimpse into the railway culture and past of Chattanooga. The Hunter Museum of American Art is a must for art lovers. Visiting Coolidge Park will let you enjoy a walk while also providing family entertainment like the Carousel or the Fountain. One of the better places to grab a drink and see some live music is Rhythm and Blues on Market Street, which has a show every night of the week.
